How We Work: Our Smart Process
5 steps to ensure a job well done
- Planning: Our expert team will help design a smart home system tailored to your lifestyle. We’ll guide you through the best smart home features, ensuring your Surrey property benefits from the latest home automation technology.
- Wiring (1st Fix): Working to your detailed plans our team runs all the smarthome cables throughout your house making sure the right cables (Speaker, Data, Loxone Tree, Dali) go to the right place before walls are closed.At this stage the main smarthome electrical panel is installed.
- Connections (2nd fix): After plastering and painting is complete, we focus on connecting all switches, sensors, and heating controls. The electrical panel is then populated with the loxone miniserver, relays and dimmers.
- Smarthome Configuration: Here is where your new smarthome comes to life, the system is energised and connected to your router. Through Loxone’s Config software we identify all the switches and sensors and decide what we want them to control. Manifold pumps, Valve actuators, Blind motors and much more are then linked through logic controls to these switches. Once all the programming is complete, we will install the Loxone App on to your phone and show you how it all works.
- Support: Once you have moved into your new home Surrey Smarthome provides continued support (free of charge for the first year). This includes Firmware updates and system backups, changes to the user interface, lighting scenes and heating schedules. We are also happy to answer any questions on how your system works and give tutorials where necessary.

This ongoing support gives our clients added confidence, reassurance, and a smarter home experience that continues to improve over time.

We are proud to be a NICEIC Approved Contractor and have successfully maintained this accreditation for over five years. This means our electrical work is independently assessed every year to ensure it meets current BS7671 electrical regulations and high industry standards. Our clients benefit from the reassurance that all work is fully insured, professionally installed, and completed safely.
We also keep up to date with the latest smart home technology and regularly attend industry events and product training, including the Loxone Product Conference. In addition, Surrey Smart Home is an approved GivEnergy installer, allowing us to provide professional home battery storage and energy management solutions alongside our smart home services.
