Smart Energy Management Installation

Smart monitoring and control of your electricity usage.

Smart energy management gives you full control over how your home uses energy. At Surrey Smarthome, we design and install intelligent systems that monitor your electricity usage in real time.

By monitoring energy usage throughout the home, Loxone enables users to identify which devices are consuming the most power unnecessarily.

Steps can then be taken to reduce then base load.

This proactive approach not only lowers utility bills but also contributes to environmental sustainability by minimising energy waste.

Energy Flow Monitor

Smart Electricity meters read grid import and export in real time and send that data to the smarthome system.
High load circuits are also metered with CT clamps. Solar panel generation, EV chargers and Home Batteries also send real time data to the smarthome.
This data is shown in the Energy Flow Monitor on the smarthome App.

Load Management

If your household electrical demand gets too high energy management can reduce this by preventing high load items from coming on.
EV charging can be automatically delayed and heat pumps can be prevented from turning on.
Also push notifications can be sent to the homeowner if grid import gets to a certain level.

Solar Diverters

If your PV generation exceeds your usage this excess electricity can be sent to your hot water tank.
This prevents low value grid export and saves on gas.

Spot Price Optimisation

If you are on an Octopus Agile tariff your smarthome connects directly with Octopus to get the GB 30-minute Market data.
The smarthome system can then take advantage of the low tariff time slots.
High load items can then be turned on like your EV charger or tumble dryer.

If you are embarking on a large renovation or new build it is important to think about energy usage and management right at the start.
With the push for Heat Pumps, EV chargers and MVHR systems your calculated max electrical load may exceed the 100A single phase limit.
Getting your DNO to install 2 or 3 phase to your property can be extremely expensive.
Including Energy Management in your plans may mean that an up-grade to 3 phase would not be necessary saving you thousands of pounds right at the start of your project.
Yes. Knowledge is power. Once you know how much electricity you are using in real time you can identify any power-hungry devices that increase your base load. Efficiency changes can be then made which can add up to savings on your utility bill.
A smart energy management system allows you to monitor your home’s energy usage in real time through a simple app. You can view Import, Export, PV generation and Battery storage at any time.
In addition, the system provides clear data on how your home is using energy throughout the day. This helps you understand patterns and identify where energy may be wasted.
As a result, you can make informed adjustments to improve efficiency and reduce running costs. Everything is designed to be easy to use, giving you full control without needing technical knowledge.
